About Me

It all began with the desire to make a difference…..

Johanna Echeverria has been involved in education, non-profit work, & business initiatives since the age of 12. Her interest in advocacy blossomed through St. Anthony's Shelter & The Hope Line Center in the South Bronx. Following this, Johanna entered a high school law program at Cardozo, and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and English. She then worked as a paralegal in a law firm for 4 years prior to becoming a Residential Manager at Sinergia (a non-profit for children and families with special needs). As the youngest manager there at age of 24, Johanna handled around 35 cases while still advocating for children and adults, she managed 60 employees with her work partner, and acted as a youth leader for Lighthouse Outreach Ministries all at the same time.

News of Johanna's expertise spread and she was contacted often to help others with both their programs and businesses in training. She focused on early childhood education businesses and quickly became highly successful as an innovator and visionary when founding Vita Center Inc. a for-profit training organization. Recognizing the need for women in these start-ups, but also in the community she began thinking about ways to train and motivate diverse women to become game changers, not only in early childhood programs but other multifaceted programs, and businesses. Vita Center Inc.’s programs include Vita Teachers for Children Program, Career Initiatives Program, Women Safe Program, & Vita Business Program.

In the past three years, Johanna's passion for faith and faith in passion have led her to do what she has been called to do - serve the people as an LSMW therapist after finishing her masters in Fordham University.  She has a passion for teaching others about mental health and consulting—therefore leading her to open another program under Vita Center Inc - called I am VIta. She wants to help build a new generation of young leaders, and women, not being held back by fear by symptoms of anxiety or depression, but instead they are speaking up, and creating platforms of connection, receiving information regarding psycho education that can truly make a difference. Through this program and initiative she seeks to drive individuals to success by providing them with the necessary tools and services to grow. The future of I AM Johanna Lucia is creating a team of consultants that include licensed therapists, developers, business consultants, attorneys, and social media strategists to better serve the needs of women, and families. Johanna through her services has truly opened herself as key to serve the community, businesses, and many others.
